THE CHURCHES.
At the Wilson Street Baptist Church to-morrow morning the Rev. C. W. Duncumb will take as his subject: “Thumbs Down. “No, up. God Lives!” At night, “Any Port in a Storm.” Visitors are cordially invited. The services in Bank Street Methodist Church to-morrow will be conducted by Mr G. McKessar. The» choir will render an anthem. Services in Woodlands Street Church will be conducted by Bible Class members in the morning and by Mr J. E. Chiles in the evening. The services at Trinity Presbyterian Church to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev A. J. H. Dow. In the morning the choir will sing. “In Humble Faith and Holy Love,” and in the evening, “o Come let us Worship.” ,The Rev. F. j. Shaw will preach at both services in the Congregational Church to-morrow—ll a.m., and 6.30 p.m. The choir will render the anthem, “God Reigneth.” Visitors are welcome Services will be conducted by Rev. St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church Highfield, and a Communion Service at Rosewill, to-morrow. In the evening the first monthly choral service for the year will be held. The anthem will be Gounod’s, “Send Out Thy Light,” and the Soloist will be Mrs Scott. The Salvation Army revival campaign still continues. Many surrender To-morfow Ensign Ernest Friberg and Bro. Braithwaite will conduct the meetings. The Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes will conduct the services in Chalmers Church. At the morning service the first series of addresses on New Testament characters will be given. The first will be on “Stephen, the Liberal Christian.” At the evening service Mr Hughes will preach on a subject with is attracting world-wide attention—- “ The War against Religion.” A service will be held at Claremont in the afternoon.
