CORNWELL CUP.
RETAINED BY AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, February 20. The Cornwell Cup contest was concluded to-day in excellent sailing conditions. In the morning race, Wellington won from Manukau by 3 min 31 sec. Lyttelton was third, followed by Otago, Auckland and Canterbury. The race in the afternoon, sailed over a triangular course of about nine miles, was won decisively by Auckland who thus retains possession of the trophy. Lyttelton was six mins 14 secs behind the winner in second place, followed by Manukau and Christchurch, Otago and Wellington retired.
