SMALLPOX SCARE.
NALDERA’S PASSENGER RELEASED. (United Press Association—By fflectrle Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received February 20, 9.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 20. The :; ner Naldera was granted a clean bill of health after a searching examination by the quarantine authorities upon arrival at Sydney. The vessel proceeded to her usual berth, and the passengers were allowed to disembark, but it will, however, be obligatory on all passengers to report regularly for examination until March 1. Those booked to Queensland and New Zealand are similarly called upon to report. A Perth message states that the smallpox patient, James Sharp, who was taken off the Naldera there, is in a serious condition, but ten other close contacts have not been affected.
