ANNUAL CONFERENCE. By Telegraph—Pres® Association WELLINGTON, Feb. 20. I At the opening of the Methodist Church Conference at the Taranak | Street Wesley Church to-night, the I Rev. J. F. Goldie (chairman of the Solomon Islands district) inducted the i Rev. A. N. Scotter into the presidential chair. The election of officers resulted:— President for 1931, Rev. W. Greenslade (Christchurch); vice-pre§jdent for 1930. Mr A. Peak (Auckland); secretary to Conference. 1930 and 1931. Rev. J. H. Haslam (Richmond. Nelson); assistant secretaries. Revs. J. D. McArthur and W. A. Burley; precentor. Rev. E. S. Emmett. The Rev. H. Ryan brought greetings from the English Methodist Conference which he attended.
