CASUALTIES.
SUICIDE IN HARBOUR. By Telegraoli—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Feb. 20. The body of ~*a man, not yet identified. was found in Lyttelton harbour this evening. It had apparently been in the water about three weeks, and the fact that the pockets of the clothes were filled with stones and iron spikes points to suicide. The police describe the body as that of a man about 60 years of age. sft. 6in. in height, with grey hair (bald on top), and blue eyes. There is an operation scar on the right jaw. and no teeth. The man was wearing a fawn I gabardine coat and a dinner suit. FATALLY INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND. February 20. Thomas Irwin, a labourer, died in I hospital from injuries received when knocked down by a lorry at Ponsonby this morning. DEATH IN HOSPITAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND. February 20. William Poor, found with his throat cut in Foch Avenue, Dominion Road, died in hospital this morning.
