RIMUTAKA SLIP.
ROAD BLOCKED ON THURSDAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. CARTERTON. August 26. The slip on Rimutaka Hill is still uncleared. The Public Works foreman states that it will hardly be possible to open the road till Thursday. Considerable blasting has yet to be done before the road can be termed safe. Service cars cannot run owing to the prohibition to tranship passengers. No traffic is allowed near the scene.
