KING’S RECOVERY.
W'ARM WELCOME ON RETURN TO SANDRINGHAM. (United Press Association—By Electrle Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received August 25, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 24. Crowds cheered their Majesties at King’s Cross, where they entrained, in brilliant sunshine, for Wolferton. The King wore a grey overcoat, with a white carnation in the buttonhole, while the Queen wore a fur-trimmed grey coat and hat, and brown suede shoes. Their Majesties lunched in the train. They warmly shook hands with the privileged tenants, who were admitted to Wolferton platform. Then they motored down the leafy avenue to Sandringham, through cheering, flagwaving crowds, who arrived from all parts of Norfolk and picnicked among the roadside heather. Their Majesties will probably remain at Sandringham for three months. . Nurse Black is in attendance and Dr Frederick Willans will periodically visit the King. Contributions to the Thanks Offering Fund for the King’s recovery now amount to £491,025.
