REPORTED MERGER OF BIG INTERESTS. (United press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received August 25, 11.25 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 24. The financial editor of the New York "Herald-Tribune” states: “Leading American and Australian lead-pro-ducers have entered an agreement, looking to the stability of world prices, and better control of markets, and the regulation of production. It is learned from official sources that important British banking interests and agencies, who market Australian produce, will, under the plan, co-operate with Spanish smeters and American bankers acting in similar capacity, for the American lead group,”
