PROTEST NOT SUSTAINED. By TslAjrraph—Prwi Association. WELLINGTON, August 23. In connection with the Y.M.C.A. Club’s protest against Tramways (Auckland) in the Chatham Cup final, the New Zealand Council called on the protesting Club to furnish proof that Christie was not qualified to play for Tramways. It was unable to do so, and the New Zealand Council could take no action. The New Zealand final of the Chatham Cup will therefore be played in Wellington to-morrow, between Tramways (Auckland) and Seacliff (Otago).
