The great American racehorse, his grand-dam St. Natalia, is half-sister to the great mare’La Sogesse,. winner of Lincoln Stakes, Newmarket Stakes, Epsom Oaks, Derby Cup, and as his dam is, like Gloaming, a daughter of Eager, who also is the maternal grand sire of Paper Money. VALKYRIAN is a beautiful bred young horse, and also a winner in England. IJe met with a slight accident shortly after coming to New Zealand, and could not be trained here. He has got plenty of size and good bone. He is making a great mark as a she. His progeny have won 29 races, 84 placlngs this season. VALKYRIAN Is the sire of Idun, Orewa, Leitrim, Red Sea, Whakariti, Winnington, Hie Jack Jumper, Valkon, Vallar, Prince of Orange, Odin, Standfast, Valuation, all winners.
