WAIMATE.
JUBILEE MEMORIAL WINDOWS. There are now on view in the shop of Mi F. Nash, two coloured drawings of memorial windows, to be placed in St. Paul’s Methodist Church. One of these designs represents the Methodist memorial to fallen soldiers. The whole work will be carried out in leadlights, as it was not within the bounds of possibility to consider stained glass. Still, each window will possess a beauty and a dignity that will make it a fitting memorial for those whom it is intended to honour. The trustees are providing the windows, but a general appeal is to be made for funds to bring the exterior and interior of the church into keeping with the newly erected windows. Brigadier M. M. Gardner. Commandant for the South Island, is to be invited to unveil the soldiers’ window. REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY.
