COMMENCE CAREER OF CRIME. By Telegraph—Press' Association. AUCKLAND, August 22. Eleven robberies from suburban houses had a sequel in the Police < Court to-day. I Cyril Patterson (21), and Thomau • Henry Mclntyre (21), pleaded guiltv ! to all. eleven charges of theft; and , Hector Donald Conolly (19) to five of I lhe eleven charges. The police said all three accused. | were out on license from the Borstal i Institution, and started the robberies thirteen days after release. Conolly I left to take up work at Helensville after five of the robberies had been committed, and Patterson and Me- : . In tyre then carried on by themselves.- i Patterson and Mclntyre were sentenced to three years’ reformative de- < tention, and Conolly to two years’ le- I formative detention.
