VISIT TO AUSTRALIA.
“GLOOMY” DEAN’S STATEMENT. (United Press Association—By Electrls Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, August 21. When interviewed at Aldington, Dean Inge was asked whether he was likely to go to Australia on a lecturing tour.
The Dean was obviously surprised at the sudden question, and replied that he knew nothing of an Australian tour. He said: “If I am not invited, I am naturally silent. I know nothing of the suggestion, but if I am asked, I will reply promptly.”
