THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate to fresh south to east; weather still somewhat showery but improving; cold temperatures. Dominion Meteorologist. The cyclone has intensified still further, and is now centred just north of East Cape. A new cyclone is apparently developing on the south coast of New South Wales. Expect strong south-westerly winds north of Kawhia and Tauranga; elsewhere moderate to strong scouth to east winds, reaching gale force between Akaroa and East Cape and in Cook Strait, moderating gradually to-morrow. Seas moderate on the West Coast of the South Island, heavy in eastern Cook Strait, elsewhere rough. Weather still dull, misty and unsettled, with further rain; heavy, and with floods, in the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne districts. Cold temperatures, with snow on the ranges.
