PREFERENCE FOR NEW ZEALANDERS.
IN TEACHING PROFESSION. By Telegraph—Pres* Association. AUCKLAND, August 21. Mr H. L. Fowler, M.A., Ph.D., of Perth, has been appointed vice-prin-cipal of the Auckland Training College. The choice of an applicant living out of New Zealand led to a discussion by the Auckland Education Board to-day, regarding the claims of Dominion teachers, and a resolution was passed asking that preference should be given to New Zealand teachers when similar appointments are made in future.
