INDIANS DROWNED.
SUDDEN RISE OF RIVER. (United Press Association— By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright.) CALCUTTA, July 28. Owing to the sudden rise of tht Sabarmati River, near Ahmedabad, thirty-five men, principally washermen, were drowned. Attempts at rescue by throwing ropes from a bridge and other places, were fruitless. The river is still rising.
