CRIME IN SYDNEY.

SERIOUS INCREASE REPORTED. (United Press Asiociatlon—By Eleetrie Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, March 1. A serious increase of crime throughout the State is indicated in the annual report of the Commissioner of Police, Mr Mitchell. During 1928, there were 3409 offences against property with violence, 11,195 without violence, increases of 388 and 668 respectively. The offences against good order numbered 57,289, an increase of 4,334. The Courts dealt with a total of 137,079 cases. Juvenile offences showed a serious increase.
