Last niglit, a motor car, driven by a medical man, mounted the safety zone in Queen Street, aiid-collided with the centre tramway pole. This morning, before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., the doctorj concerned, who”, had. spent the night in the Police Station, was charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a. car. He was remanded on, bail of £IOO. When recovered the goods had depreciated b.y several pounds. She was admitted to probation for two years in January on four charges of false pretences.
