BRITISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

One hundred and thirty-four will play on the Royal and St. George courses, and the remainder on the Princes, on May 7, changing courses on May 8, after which the leading 100 will contest on St. George’s for two days. Only competitors 15 strokes behind the leader will participate in the final rounds on May 11. _ There is a representative entry, with 32 foreigners, including Spanish, Argentine and French, and ten Americans, among whom are Hagen and Barnes, but Bobby Jones will not defend the title. The first qualifying round will be at St. George’s, where the New Zealanders, Gillies and G. F. D. Gunson, will be playing.
