MINIATURE RIFLES.

PEEL FOREST CLUB. On Saturday night the Peel Forest Miniature na.ci uaii ucut 11a upou.-b' shoot for the season. Despite a very wet night, there was a record attendance. For the first shoot of the season, the shooting was of a very high ordei*. The following were the scores registered off the rifle: —E. Foden 35, J. Rees 35, D. Popplewell 35, G. Wooding 33, W. Jenkins 33, F. Johnstone 33, F. Eaton 32, A. Allan 31, W. Macphail 31, F. Cain 30, F. Heney 30, F. Cooling 29, F. Stevenson 29, W. Johnstone 28, G. Fifield 27, E. Allan 22. PAREORA. The annual meeting of the Pareora Rifle Club was held on April 19, there being a good attendance of members.' ' The president (Mr P. Coote), before retiring, thanked all those who donated trophies or assisted the Club in any way during the past season. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year Patron, Mr H.
