When the Imperial Agricultural Research Conference was winding up, it was decided to meet every five years. Mr Julius (Australia) paid a tribute to the extraordinarily effective work of the Empire Marketing Board, which had originally proposed to devote 15 per cent, to research. This had since been increased with most valuable results, indicative of enormous potentialities. Dr. Reakes concurred. He said that New Zealand had greatly benefited. The Canadian delegate (Mr Grisdale) explained the striking results to animal nutrition from tho use of fish meal, and suggested that Canada, Newfoundland, Australia, and South Africa should co-operate in tests.
