THE BALKANS.
CRITICAL SITUATION. SHARP NOTE TO BULGARIA. By CabU—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and iI.Z. Cable Association. (Received October 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 7. Belgrade messages state that the situation between Bulgaria and Jugoslavia to-day was most critical, and the Great Powers are manifesting concern. The British and French Ministers had lengthy interviews with the Jugoslav Foreign Minister, and Cabinet, at a further meeting, instructed its representative in Sofia to demand energetic action against the Macedonian murder clubs, with an intimation that relations would be broken off if no satisfaction was afforded.
In the meantime, fresh crimes are reported. Bands of comitadjis attacked the frontier village of Klissura, and twenty bombs were thrown into the Customs office, police station, and post office. Bulgaria affirms that the outrages were instigated by the Macedonian Revolutionary Committee, with the object of stirring up trouble between Jugo-Slavia and Bulgaria.
