AUSTRALIA’S DEBTS.
BIG CONVERSION LOAN. By Cable—Praia Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. CabU Asaoclatloa. CANBERRA, October 6. The Federal Treasurer (Dr. Earle Page) announces that the Commonwealth War Conversion Loan of £36,000,000, carrying interest at 5i per cent., issuing at £9B 10s, ■will ho opened to-day. The Loan was originally £39,000,000, but £3.000.000 were redeemed, cancelled by the use of the National Debt Sinking Fund.
