The Germo-British police, co-ope-rating in various countries, unearthed an international drug smuggling organisation. An elegantly dressed Russian woman emigre from Marseilles, was in the habit of meeting a Russian from Hongkong. Both were searched, and a la.rge amount of luggage revealed much heroin. The man wore petticoats, each with twenty-two pockets for packets. A search of the flats of the woman’s acquaintance revealed the key of a strong box of a Berlin hank, in which was discovered a correspondence code for communicating with each other.
