'the general opinion in Dublin is that the party organisers have inciea.sed the poll. Seventy per cent, voted in Dublin before seven o'clock. The Government is optimistic concerning the prospects, as the chief fear was the apathy of the electors. A reduction in the number of candidates made it easier for the voters to use their preferences.
