The Duke and Duchess of York, after a brief triumphal tour of the surrounding country, returned to Melbourne. They will leave to-day for Adelaide, making a short stop at Ballarat en route. The Duke and Duchess of York departed by rail for Adelaide. The route and station were lined with enormous cheering crowds. As the result of the Earl of Cavan’s advice, the South Australian programme has been materially shortened, several Adelaide engagements being deleted, as the Duchess is suffering slightly from the strain of the tour.
