ILLEGAL SEIZURE OF LIQUOR SHIP. By Cable —Press Association—Copyr'ght. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 28, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 27. The Panama Government presented a Note to the State Department today asking for the immediate release of a Federal ship held at Sait Francisco as a rum runner, on the ground that the seizure was beyond the jurisdiction of the United States and contrary to existing treaties.
