RUGBY LEAGUE.

AUCKLAND, April 7. The annual meeting of delegates of tho New Zealand League Football Ccmncil was held to-night. Tho balanco sheet showed a balance of receipts of £352. The expenses of the English tour were set out as £1876. The chairman. (Mr J. Carlawf said that last year was the most disastrous in his experience. After Yanrs of anticipation, the New Zealand Council had accepted an invitation to tour England. Unfortunately, internal troubles developed, and instead of an expected profit of £7OOO being made, a serious loss had to be faced. The'balance sheet did not make clear what that loss was.
A motion to bold annual meetings at Wellington was lost.
It was decided to play a. North v. South Island match alternately in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, each year, in addition to one match in Auckland. Officers were elected, as follows: — Patron, Dr. H. T. J. Thacker; president, Mr C. A. Sneddon; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W r . I). McLean (Auckland), K. J. McKcon (Canterbury), J. D. Wingham (West Coast), T. Hill ("South Auckland), M. Fagan (Buffer), J. Ivory (Wellington), J. T. Cooper (Otago).
