ARSENIC ON APPLES.

Sir Joseph Cook, referring to tho .suggestion that eight members of the House of Lords stall’ were poisoned by arsenic from apples, declared that apparently there is no evidence that such was the case, but the suggestion is particularly unfortunate, in view of the Ferndale’s arrival. Ho added that the Commonwealth had arranged a specially stringent supervision and inspection ip prevent arsenic on apples.
