Mr Wheatley asked il the. Board s capital expenditure was in any way limited. Mr Amery pointed out that unusua. expenditure required the sanction el the Dominion Governments, who did not encourage extravagance. Mr Kirkwood moved to reduce tho chairman’s salary from £IOOO to £SOO. He argued that tho Board only met toil times yearly, for about an hour. The debate was adjourned.
