THE WHEAT QUESTION Strong endeavours are being made by the Farmers’ Union and others to prevail upon the Premier, who is coming South, to give Government’s help in stabilising the price of wheat. A feasible and good scheme is in process of being put forward, and it is desired that the Hon. Hr. Coates shall receive the same from a fully representative gathering of Farmers of South Canterbury.
