WEDDINGS.

WHITEHOUSE—F AR QUJT ARSON, Seldom has the Durham Street Methodist Church, Christchurch, been more artistically decorated than it was on the evening of December 22nd., when masses of pink and white flowers and delicate greenery were used with a large pink and white bell suspended overhead, for the wedding of Ella Adelina Farquliarson, who is well known in musical circles, and Thomas Raymond Wliitohouse, of Timaru. Tho bride is the only daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Farquliarson, of Fendalton, and tho bridegroom, tho youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs S. T. Whitehouse, of Thames. Tho Rev. AY. A. Hav officiated at the ceremony, and Mr Lawrence Richard, cousin of the bride, presided at tho organ. During the wedding ceremony, a solo. “Thanksbe to God,” was rendered by Mrs J. AV. Palk, L.R.A.M.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin, the tunic of which was formed in bolero style with panels of fine lace embroidered in silver tracery, tho ovei’skirt being of the same delicate lace. The long court train attached to one shoulder with diamento and worn draped to one side of the waist lino and clasped with an ornament of pearls, was bordered with lace at tho top and the hem v.as weighted with a wide rucked hand of the satin and lightly embroidered in silver and pearls. Over all, hung her lace and tulle veil, which was arranged from a coronet of orange blossom and myrtle and worked at the corners with true lovers’ knots in silver gauze ribbon.
