Miss M. Priest, Bank Street, is back from a short visit to Christchurch.

Miss Eileen Irwin '(Christchurch) is visiting 'Temuka. Mr.and Mrs Henry Mitchell (Dunedin), are staying at the Grosvenor. Miss Bradley, Dunedin, is staying with Mrs-11. B. Bell, Wai-iti Hoad. Mrs AA 7 . A. Whitlock, Christchurch, is visiting Timaru. Mr and Mrs P. M. Collins (Christchurch) are staying at the Grosvenor. Mrs Edgar Jones and Miss Enid Jones, “Otiritiri,” have returned from Wellington. Miss Gwen Baxter, who was in Timaru for the golf tournament, is staying at the Hydro Grand. Mrs G. S. Cray, Seaview Terrace, returned on Thursday from a short, visit to Christchurch. Mrs E. A. Hamel (Dunedin), who has been spending a few weeks at the Grosvenor, is returning home to-day. Miss Mary Gabites, Wai-iti lload, is the guest of Mrs Donald Burnett, “To Aka Station,” Hakataramea. Mr and Airs G. Murray-Aynsley will motor down from Christchurch, to-mor-row, and will stay at the Hydro Grand. Miss Pigeon, Wai-iti Road, and her guest Mrs Free, Hastings, returned on Thursday from a visit to Gore. Miss Mumford, who was with Mrs Hillier, Ashburton, has returned to Waimate. Miss Wills and Miss Herbert-Sinith, England, are staying with Mrs Wills', “Opawa,” Albury. Mr and Mrs A. P. Reid (Wellington), who were at the Grosvenor Hotel, have returned to their home. Mrs 1). O’Connor and her little son, Godley Street, Temuka, have gone to the North Island for a holiday. Mr and Mrs E. D. Mosley, Maori Hill, will leave this month for their future home in Christchurch. Miss Dymplina Breen has returned to her home after spending six weeks in Hastings and Maungamarie. Mrs Maitland Rich, is expected from Christchurch early next week on a visit to Mrs Geoffrey Rich, Cave. Commander G. W. Morrison, R.N. and Mi's Morrison, LcCren’s Terrace, have gone into their house in Wai-iti Road; Mr and Mrs A. C. Reid, and Mrs A. C. Macdonald and daughter (Christchurch), are spending a few days at the Hydro. Mr A. G. Macdonald, Waitui, Geraldine, who has been staying at the Hydro for a few- days, returned home yesterday. Miss Blanche Atkinson, who was staying with her sinter, Mrs Readdie, Gibson Street, has returned to Christchurch. Miss Trott, Sealey Street, left 011 Wednesday for Waimate, to stay with Mrs Miller; Mt. Harris, for a few weeks. Their Excellencies the Governor-Gen-eral and Lady Alice Fergusson, and aide de camp. Mr D. J. Keswick, arrivedl in Timaru yesterday, and are staying at the Hydro Grand Hotel. Mr and Mrs T.
