VICE-REGAL VISIT. TO-DAY,

To-day Temuka will receive its'first official visit from tho Govcrnbr-General, who will be accompanied by Lady Alico Fergusson. Tho Vicc-Regnl party will arrive at 11 a.in., and will receive a public welcome at Tomuka Post Office, where a platform will bo erected, and speeches will be given by the Mayor (Mr G. B. Cartwright), Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P., Mr J. Mazo (president of tho R.S.A.), and Mi- 11. C. Taipana (chairman of the Maori Ruimnga). The children of tho two public schools, Salvation Army Boys’' Iloiee, Maoris, Pipe Band, and Cadets will take■ part in tho welcome, and several, items will bo given, by Maoris. A luncheon-will be . given afterwards to their Excellencies in the Crown Hotel.

“THE BUSHWHACKERS.”-TO-NIGHT. .

Eddie O’Reilly, Rawdon Blanford, and Stella Southern are the stars in tho picture, supported by Beryl Gow, tlio little girl ivno, wins everyone’s heart by her acting. She does some remarkable dancing- in this attraction. The supporting pictures are also of high standard, and will prove very entertaining. " WINCHESTER RIEtiE CLUB. The weokly shoot of the Winchester Miniature Rifle Club took place on Monday evening, for a trophy donated by the club. The following are the highest scores off tho rifle: —A. Scott 35, W.
