ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

MEETING OF-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. Tlie weekly meeting of tho management committee of the S.C.F.A. was Held in the I’ipe Band room. Mr Young presided over a full attondanco of moinbers, about twenty being present, including the Rev. Mr. Duncumb. The chairman welcomed Mr Duncumb to Timaru, and stated that a reforeo of Mr Duncumb’s ability was badly needed among followers of tho soccor eodo. On rising to reply, Mr Duncumb was greeted with a hearty round of applause. Ho intimated that next season liis services would be available as a referee, and also an enthusiast of Association football. For the past eight years ho had been in Palmerston North, and had helped tho game along in that district. Ho also gavo some useful information to tho meeting on some of tlio liner points of soccer. In reply to a question, Mr Duncumb intimated bis willingness to give a' blackboard lecture to all interested in football, before the commencement of the season 1027, 'Correspondence was rend from tho U.L.F.A., re tho game Hangers v. Colmoco, and it was agreed to send the information asked for. Full arrangements regarding the storage of post, nets, etc., were made, and tho secretary was instructed to effect insurance on same. On tho motion of Messrs Jarvis and Thompson, it was unanimously agreed to amend the constitution of the S.C.F.A., to tho effect that only neutral members shall constitute tho management committee of the S.C.F. A. next season. Tho secretary and treasurer were empowered to pay any outstanding accounts, to draw np tho annual balance sheet nd report. Mr Young thanked those present for tlioir attendance, and stated that as the season was now at an end, the weekly meetings would bo discontinued.
