It is reliably reported that the new agreement "for compensation of former Prussian royalties, provides for a cash payment of 15,000,000 gold marks on behalf of the royalties land and forests property, instead of 30,000,000 originally proposed. The Hohenzollerns will, in addition, receive 180,000 acres of laud, instead of 267,000. In consequence of their reduction, two additional royal castles revert to the State. It is confidently anticipated that, the Diet will accept the compromise.
