DEATH THROUGH BUSINESS WORRIES. By Telegraph—Precis Association AUCKLAND, October 7. The body of Thomas McMenemy, aged 63, an Auckland hairdresser, who lias been missing from his homo since September 21, was found floating in tho harbour, off Northcote Point, this morning. McMenemy had been in business as a hairdresser for many years, and bad recently negotiated tor new promises in Shortland Street. These were completed, and wero ready for occupancy on September 25. Three days after his disappearance, on Wednesday, September 22, intimate friends of tho deceased received a note, which ran as follows: —“I’m sorry, but by thq timo you get this, my body will bo found in the harbour. Tho Shortland Street business is too big a hurdle for me to jump.” The note was signed by deceased.

LITTLE GIRL’S DEATH. By Tele/rraph—Pros* Association AUCKLAND, October 7. An inqueST concerning the death of Juno Pearl Taylor, aged six years, who was found unconscious by tho roadside on Wednesday afternoon, and who died shortly afterwards, wns held before Mr E. K. Hunt, S.M., Coroner. Dr. J. W. Craven said that ho had attended tho child twico in tho past nine months for minor complaints. There wero no marks of violenco oil the body when examined. A post mortem examination showed that the child was well nourished, and that all organs were healthy, except the thymus gland, which was markedly enlarged. Death from this condition wns liable to occur suddenly without warning. The father of tho child said that she always appeared to be in good health, and was apparently well on Wednesday morning, and also when she left for school after lunch. Tho Coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
