| LAVENDER—GARLAND. A pretty wedding took place oil Alonday hi St. Augustine’s Church, Waimate, when Helen, eldest daugnter of Air ami Alia Allred Garland, "Sea, View,” Waimate, was married by tne Rev. Canon Codes to Artnur Onarles Eavendcr, Tasmania, son of Air and Airs Allred Lavender, Dunedin. The bride, who was given away by her lather, wore a loveiy frock of white embossed georgette, made with a flared skirt and long georgette sleeves, caught in a band at the wrist. Her veil was of finest tulle caught with a band of silver and posies of orange blossom at cither side. The bridesmaids, Aliss Muriel Garland and Aliss Peggy Lavender, wore respectively pink headed flared georgette, and a •similar frock in pink; their cream bandeaux had small bunches of flowers at the sides, and bouquets to tone. Air Ralph Hardy, Dunedin, was best man, and Air Jack Park, Dunedin, groomsman. The clmreli was decorated with chrysanthemums and autumn foliage by giri friends of the bride. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Sea. View,” which was decorated with autumn leaves and chrysanthemums, and the tea tables with violets and spring flowers.
