Theft.and valueless CHEQUES. By Tclegrnpli—Pivks Association AUCKLAND, Juno 21. John James At organ, ouargecl at ’.lie Police Court with obtaining £25 by valueless cheques at Auckland, Wanganui and IVhangarei, and also with attempting to obtain a motor car valued at £475 from AY. K. Miller by a valitlcss cheque, pleaded guilty to all charges, and was committed for sentence.
Bra AMY CHARGE. By Tclcijrnpn-— Tress Association AUCKLAND, Juno 21. At tho Supreme Court, in tlie case of May Hnnia, charged with bigamy at Rawene, it appeared that she married a Maori youth of 19, when she herself was 14 or 15 years old, and married a second time in 1915, and had nine children. Mr Justice Stringer dismissed the charge, saying: “Let her go back to her children." In a case of breaking, entering and theft against Harold Waterloo Pell (18), the Judge granted a remand for a week to give tho accused a chance to disclose the name of his accomplice.
THE DRUG CRAVING. By Telegrnpli—Press Association AUCKLAND, Juno 21. On Saturday the pr-amisos of t!w. Auckland Pharmacies Ltd., were broken into and a quantity of drugs stolen. At the Police Court to-day, George Edward Raker (23), was charged with stealing tlieiefrom a quantity of heroin, cocaine and morphia, valued at 30s. Accused was described as a well known drug addict. Pie was remanded till June 28.
