Rotor Barrio, a. fanner of Tinwakl, .succumbed this afternoon to injuries received on Monday through being crushed as a result of a jack slipping from a wharo under -which he was working. It bad an arm and leg severed, and is in a precarious condition. CRUSHED BY FALL OF ROCIC. By Telegraph—Press Association BLENHEIM, Juno 12. A. young man, Norman McKenzie, ‘working at Benopni, in. an excavation in connection with the AVaihopai hydro-clccine scheme, was injured by a fall of rock at II o'clock last, night. Ho was brought to tho Wairau Hos pital in an ambulance. The extent of lii.s injuries arc unknown, but he is believed to be crushed about the hips. STUNNED BY CURRENT. Wishart. single (28), while manipulating one of tile wireless sets at the Chief Rost Office, bridged two live wires, ami was, subjected to high voltage, and rendered unconscious. He was admitted to hospital suffering from partial elect rceution. His condition is satisfactory.
