The weakly shoot of t!ie Makikihi Miniature Rifle Club ms held on Monday evening. There was again a large attendance. The iirst stage of Mi- James Meehan's trophy was keenly contested. It. Cowles, It. Cairns, C. Blackwood, O. Foden, T. Hubbard, G. Lewis, J. Mooney, G. Payne, It. AV. Parsons, AV. Malcolm, J. Toneycliffe junr. AV. Thomas, D. Sinclair. Mr. A. Thorcau’s trophy was won by G. Lewis and Mr A. England’s trophy was won by D. Sinclair. For the weekly challenge medal ,T. Toneycliffo junr. and AV. Sfalcolm will shoot off. AJI members wishing to take part in the “Herald” Shield competitions must hand their-names to the secretary not later than next Thursday. AVASHDYKE CLUB. The AA'Vshdyke Club fired their weekly shoot* on Tuesday last for a trophy presented by Mi- AV. S. Gieive. The following made the possible with handicap: I. Black, J. McLean, S. Brown, I’. Jackson, I’. Applegarth. The highest scores off the ride "were: F. Jackson 70, S. Brown, AV. It. Grant, J. King, P. Applegarth 69, I. Black, J. McLean. A. Boss, P. Couper 6S. AA 7 . R. Grant won the challenge for tho week.

COLMOCO CLUB. An enthusiastic meeting of employees of the Colonial Motor Co. was held in Mr Gunn's rooms, when it was decided to form a rifle club. Mr G. Honey man junr. presided, over a large gathering. Several apologies were received for non-attendance. The following officers wore then unanimously appointed: Patron, Mr (). Hutchison; president, Mr J. V. Stevens; vice-presidents, Messrs AV. S. Smart, J. Chapman, Cecil Wood son. and jun; Win. Hally, and Dr. Pea; capt., Mr G. Honcyman, jun.; treasurer, Mr P. Hall ; armourer, Mr P. Power; target checkers, Messrs A. Hooke, G. Collins and A. Brooker; committee Messrs AV. Gledhill S. AAhu-deil, ; T. Sherry, G. Annear, also the captain, treasurer and secretary; secretary, Air C. H. Pudge. It was decided to affiliate with the Miniature Itiflc Association. The committee were instructed to procure all necessary equipment, and arrange for opening night. _ A vote of thanks was passed to the Amiran Foundry for target iron, to Mill. Gunn for use of room, to members of tbo staff for assistance given, and to the following for trophies: Messrs Briscoe Ltd.. J. Pdmond.s Ltd., Wm. Hally, and Cecil AA’ood senr. CLAREMONT CLUB. At the weekly shoot tho following were the highest scores off the-rifle : P. Chittock 34, R. Armstrong 33, P. Armstrong 32, M. Fowler 32, P. Brosnan 31, J.. Groig 31, L. G. Smith 31, J. G.
