[Lord Stevenson, who was raised to lie peerage in 1924, in recognition of ins .services in connection . with tlio Wembley Exhibition and during tho ''■nr period, when he occupied numerous highly responsible positions, wan horn in 1873. Ho was Director of the Area Organisation- of the Ministry ot Munitions 1916-17; Vice-Chairman of the Ministry of Munitions Advisory Committee, 1917; member of the Central Reconstruction Committee; member of the Munitions Council for Ordnance, 1918, Chairman of tho Council Committee in Demobilisation ami .Reconstruction; Surveyor-General ot Supply War Ollico 1919-21; member of the Army Council 1919; Vice-Chairman of tho .Advisory Committee on Civil Aviation, personal Commercial Adviser to tho Secretary of State for the Colonics 1921. All these appointments were in an honorary capacity. Lord .Stevenson leaves no heir, so the title becomes extinct.]
