BOATING FATALITY'. By Tclegi-np’'- " A-.-soc-1.-itinn ROTORUA, June 2. Hope lias been practically abandoned of survivors of tlie Ngongotalia boating accident. Launches dragging the lake discovered a boat sunk in 2(1 feet of water, sitting on its stern, and the bow some four tect below the surface. Wolfcrnmm was a very powerful swimmer, and was married, with four small children. Later the liody of the lad Scddon Matthews was lonnrl this morning in the vicinity of the sunken boat and taken to Ngongotalia. Hie body of Angus Douglas was recovered at about noon. An inquest was formally opened at Ngongotalia and adjourned.

A level crossing accident occurred at Church Road crossing, near Onolnuiga, early this evening, when a motor lorry was smashed to matchwood by a train proceeding from Auckland to Ot-iduihu.
