At the annual meeting of tho South •Island Dairy 'Association at Dunedin yesterday, considerable discussion took placo on the question of obtaining a better award for dairy iaetory employees, and delegates were appointed to attend a conference in Wellington, when tho question of tho possibility of forming a Dominion award could bo discussed.

A Dunedin message says that at aconference of delegates of the South Island Agricultural and Pastoral Associations, a motion was carried that agricultural requirements could best be met by the concentration of all available funds in the establishment of a single, fully staffed and equipped agricultural college; that the Government should defer a decision as to the location of this one agricultural college until an opportunity is given to such parts of the Dominion as m'ay desire, of giving evidence as to the* suitability of their district's for the purpose.
