In the Gordon Bennett race, the assistant pilot of the American balloon was thrown out, when it grounded near Antwerp. , 'Hie balloon continued with one pilot The British machine "Bee” landed at Waalwyeh. It covered <5 kilometres. . , , i , -irio The Swiss Helvetia landed at lute. It covered 130 kilometres.
