Present indications are for moderate to strong south-east to north-east winds north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and northcrlies elsewhere; ■weather cold and changeable, with misty rain at times in the northern and east coast districts of the North Island, fair to cloudy elsewhere. Barometer has a falling tendency.
