AUCKLAND MYSTERY.
YOUNG COUPLE IBSAPPKAR AYTTII CAR AND RIFLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. 4 AUCKLAND. April 30. Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a boy and girl aged 19 and 17 years respectively, who are known to have left the city in a liiroj, five-seater Chevrolet car early last Friday evening, but Inivo not been seen since. Grave anxiety is felt bv'the parents of the young people. The young mail was employed as a. clerk in an Auckland office, and on Friday hired a car for the week-end. Shortly alter seven o’clock on Friday evening lie called at his lodgings, and then drove to where the girl was employed as a domestic. She had told her employers that she intended to do isome shopping in town, but was not (seen-again. She had been keeping •ompauy with the young man for some lime. It is stated that the young man took 1 .22 calibre rifle away with him.
