In connection with the exclusion of Gisborne from the roster of wool sales, for the 1926-7 season, Mr Sherratt, president of the Sheepowners’ Federation, said it was likely that a combined meeting of the Sheepowners’ Federation and the Farmers’ Union would he palled at the earliest date _to consider the development and decide what action should bo taken to assure fair treatment for the wool-growers of. this district. It is. considered probable., that a deputation will be sent to. Wellington-to bring the position of the district before tho authorities.. ,It is stated that every possible effort will be made to ensure sales being held in Gisborne', in accordance with arrangements made with the wool-brokers. ■,
