ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

THISTLE CLUB. The annual meeting of Thistle Club was held in the Y.M.C A. on Monday. There was an attendance of about a, dozen, and Mr E. Begbie was appointed chairman. Tlie annual report an*l balance sheet were read. 'The report gave great credit to the old Thistle Juniors for joining in the senior game, and for the way in which they upheld their end against their more experienced opponents. They were the keenest team in the competition, and if the Thistle A had taken as much interest in the game, they would have boon the holders of the cup. The Thistle A team were runners-up in both tfie, five-a-sidc competitions, and also gave Rangers a tough go in both tho cup competitions. The club voted hearty thanks to All* and Mrs R. Marshall. Russell Square, for their untiring kindness to the chib during the season in providing dressing shed and hot water and towels, and also afternoon tea. to all comers during the five-a-sido competition. The c’ub also wished* to thank Mr and Mrs Burn, High Street, for the use of their office for meetings; Mr H. Gunn for lending his rooms when available; and all supporters for donations towards the club. The balance sheet showed a small profit, which was good, considering the bio: task in running two teams. The following was the result of the election of officers for the ensuing year: —Patron, Mr M. Little; president. Mr E. Begbie; secretary and treasurer) Mr T. Sherry; vice-presidents, Messrs P. C. The election of the management committee was left over till next meeting.
