Hie Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night received a cablegram from M r KCoombs, president of the Australian Athletic Union, Sydney, stating that the Finnish Council there knew nothuirf of Nurmi’s movements. He suggested waiting until Rose reaches London. Mr R. W. MeVillv, president of the N.Z.A.A.A. stated that at least LloW would be required to finance Rose s trip. The primary ohjcct was for Rose to meet Nurmi. He would foiow Nurmi to whatever country the 1; inn. was racing in, even to the United States.
